Kokatat Reaction jacket

KOKATAT Reaction Jacket | Waterproof & Breathable Paddling Top

Unleash your full potential on the water with the KOKATAT Reaction Jacket, a masterfully engineered semi-dry top for dedicated paddlers who refuse to let the elements dictate their day. Designed for both touring and whitewater enthusiasts, this jacket is the perfect fusion of high-performance technology and all-day comfort, ensuring you stay dry, warm, and focused on your line. Whether you´re a boy or a girl honing your skills, the Reaction Jacket provides the reliable protection you need to push your limits.

At the heart of the Reaction Jacket lies Kokatat´s proprietary TROPOS waterproof and breathable fabric. This advanced material acts as an impenetrable barrier against rain, spray, and wind, making it completely waterproof and windproof. Simultaneously, its exceptional breathability allows moisture and excess heat from exertion to escape, providing essential thermal regulation and preventing that clammy feeling during intense paddling sessions. Every seam is fully sealed, leaving no path for water to intrude and guaranteeing a dry core from put-in to take-out.

The Reaction Jacket excels in its details, which are tailored specifically for the paddling environment. For an exceptionally dry seal at the arms, it features durable latex wrist gaskets, the gold standard for preventing water from running up your sleeves. These are shielded by protective coated Lycra® over-cuffs that add a layer of abrasion resistance and UV protection. Around the neck, Kokatat’s innovative APT (Adjustable Punch-Through) neoprene neck closure offers a fantastic balance of comfort and water resistance. It´s less restrictive than a full latex gasket, making it ideal for long days of navigation and touring, yet provides a snug, secure seal against splash.

The key to keeping your cockpit dry is the expertly designed waist system. The Reaction features a double-skirted design, with an inner tunnel and a Smoothskin neoprene waistband that grips your spray skirt tunnel for a watertight connection. The outer skirt, complete with an adjustable drawcord waist, layers over your spray skirt to shed water effectively. This system is perfect for paddlers who prefer to pair their jacket with a spray skirt or a paddling bib, like the Kokatat Whirlpool Bib, to create a versatile two-piece dry system for tackling any conditions. This jacket is built without a hood to ensure an unimpeded field of vision and zero interference with helmet use.
