Kona Lagos Trolling Rod

KONA Lagos Trolling Rod

Dominate the deep and conquer the giants of the ocean with the KONA Lagos Trolling Rod. Engineered specifically for the demanding world of big game offshore trolling, this rod is the ultimate tool for the serious angler who accepts no compromises. When you´re miles from shore and connected to the fish of a lifetime, the Lagos provides the power, durability, and performance you need to emerge victorious. It’s designed not just for a fight, but for a war against the most powerful pelagic predators.

The heart of this powerhouse is its advanced construction. The Kona Lagos is built with a powerful STG carbon blank, which gives it immense strength and power, and high-quality Pacific Bay roller rings. This masterful combination is meticulously engineered to give you the upper hand in the battle with the colossi of the sea. The STG blank delivers incredible lifting power, allowing you to pressure monster tuna, marlin, and swordfish from the depths, while still retaining the sensitivity to detect subtle bites when trolling complex bait spreads.

Line management under extreme, drag-searing pressure is flawlessly handled by a full set of premium Pacific Bay roller rings. These rollers are essential for reducing friction on your line, which is critical for preventing break-offs during long, drawn-out fights. They ensure a smooth and consistent flow of line, whether you are using monofilament or braid, protecting its integrity and allowing your drag system to function perfectly.

During a grueling battle, comfort is key to endurance. The KONA Lagos features high-density EVA handles that offer a comfortable, non-slip grip even when wet with spray and fish slime. This ergonomic design reduces fatigue in your hands and arms, allowing you to focus your energy on fighting the fish, not your gear. The foregrip provides excellent leverage for pumping and lifting.

A solid and secure connection between your rod and reel is non-negotiable. The Lagos is equipped with a heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant aluminum reel seat. This robust component locks your large-capacity trolling reel into place with zero wobble or flex, creating a rock-solid foundation that transfers every ounce of your power directly to the fight. For anglers using a fighting chair or a stand-up harness, the detachable aluminum gimbal butt is a crucial feature. It locks the rod securely into a rod holder or gimbal plate, providing superior leverage and control when battling the biggest fish in the ocean. The detachable design also allows for easier storage and transport.

Whether you are a seasoned charter captain or a dedicated private boater, the KONA Lagos Trolling Rod is built to exceed expectations. It is more than just a fishing rod; it is a high-performance piece of equipment designed to turn the tide in your favor. Equip yourself with the power of KONA and make your next offshore adventure legendary.
