Loon Outdoors Strike Two Dubbing

Loon Outdoors Strike Two - High-Visibility Indicator Yarn

Elevate your nymphing game and never miss a subtle take again with Loon Outdoors Strike Two, the ultimate high-visibility strike indicator yarn for the discerning fly tyer and angler. Designed for superior performance in all water conditions, Strike Two provides the perfect combination of buoyancy, visibility, and sensitivity, ensuring you have the utmost confidence in your presentation. This is the essential material for tying custom indicators that outperform and outlast all others.

The primary benefit of Strike Two lies in its unwavering visibility. Crafted from a vibrant, synthetic glo-yarn, it stands out against any background, whether you´re facing the glare of a bright sun, fishing in the low light of dawn and dusk, or tracking your drift on choppy water. The larger 1/4-inch diameter is specifically designed to be easily seen, making it an ideal choice for anglers fishing bigger, heavier flies or for those whose eyesight requires a more pronounced indicator. Say goodbye to squinting and losing track of your rig; with Strike Two, your indicator remains a bold, clear focal point.

Unmatched flotation is at the core of this material´s design. Each strand of Strike Two yarn is pre-treated with Loon´s proprietary Hydrostop technology. This hydrophobic treatment permeates the fibers, creating a permanent barrier against water saturation. Unlike other yarns that become waterlogged, heavy, and sink over time, Strike Two is engineered to float forever. This means your indicator stays high on the water´s surface from the first cast to the last, providing a drag-free, natural drift and ensuring you can detect even the most delicate bites with precision.

Sensitivity is paramount in successful nymph fishing, and Strike Two delivers exceptional performance. The lightweight nature of the yarn, combined with its superb buoyancy, translates the slightest interruption in your drift directly to a visible dip or pause. It registers those subtle takes from wary trout that heavier, less responsive indicators often miss, giving you the critical split-second advantage needed to set the hook.

Versatility is another key advantage. Supplied in a generous 15cm length, Strike Two allows for complete customization. You can easily cut the yarn to your exact desired length, enabling you to tie indicators perfectly matched to the size of your flies, the weight of your nymph rig, and the specific water conditions you face. Whether you need a small, subtle indicator for technical spring creek fishing or a large, bushy one for tumbling pocket water, Strike Two adapts to your needs.
