Madcat Automatic Gate Rod Rest sand spike

MADCAT Automatic Gate Rod Rest Sand Spike

Experience unshakeable stability and lightning-fast reactions with the MADCAT Automatic Gate Rod Rest, the ultimate sand spike designed for the dedicated catfish angler. When you´re battling monster fish on soft ground, the security of your rod is paramount. This robust rod holder provides an unyielding grip on your prized setup, ensuring it stays put during the most aggressive takes, while still allowing for immediate access the moment you need to strike. Forget the fear of a rod being ripped from its holder; fish with the absolute confidence that only MADCAT can provide.

This innovative rod rest is engineered for performance and convenience. It is a strong, almost one meter long sand spike with a spring loaded gate tight enough to prevent a rod from falling out but loose enough to quickly pull the rod out in case of a bite.

With an extra pointy spike and a metal push bar, allowing the angler to drive the spike extra deep (and stable) into the sand.

With machinegun barrel holes, to reduce the weight.

The intelligent design of the automatic gate system is a true game-changer. It acts as a reliable guardian for your rod, securing it against violent pulls and sudden line tension. Yet, when a catfish commits, a simple upward lift is all it takes to free your rod, enabling a rapid and effective hookset. This perfect balance between security and accessibility means you´ll never be caught fumbling with your gear when it matters most. Its significant length keeps your valuable reel high and dry, safely away from sand, mud, and lapping waves, preserving the life and performance of your equipment. While multi-rod setups and traditional Rod Pods have their place on hard or rocky ground, the MADCAT Automatic Gate Rod Rest is the specialist’s choice for conquering sandbars, muddy riverbanks, and soft shorelines with a single, ultra-stable anchor point.

Built for the toughest conditions, the integrated metal push bar acts as a powerful lever. Simply place your foot on it and apply pressure to sink the ultra-sharp point deep into the most challenging terrain, creating a foundation that won´t twist, shift, or pull loose. Despite its formidable strength and impressive length, this sand spike is surprisingly portable, thanks to the strategically placed machinegun-style holes that significantly reduce its overall weight without compromising structural integrity. Carry multiple units to your spot without being weighed down.

Elevate your bankside fishing game with a rod holder that’s as serious about catfish as you are. Secure your gear, protect your investment, and be ready for action in a split second.
