MADCAT Backbone 300 m Braided Line

Dominate the water and conquer the giants with the MADCAT Backbone 300 m, the pinnacle of braided fishing lines designed specifically for the serious catfish angler. When your target is a true river monster, you can´t afford any weak links in your setup. The Backbone is engineered not just to meet expectations but to shatter them, providing the raw power and refined performance needed to turn a bite into a trophy catch. Born from a relentless pursuit of perfection, this line is the ultimate connection between you and the fish of a lifetime.

At MADCAT we are catfish perfectionists, so when we couldn´t find a braided line that met our high standards, we decided to make one. This all-new braided catfish line was created following extensive testing of existing lines in the market and has been designed to be up to 30 per cent stronger than anything else out there. The high abrasion resistance and sensitive feel make it ideal for pelagic fishing, casting, or static fishing, and its unrivalled strength allows you to stay in control during the fight once you get a bite. Catfish fishing is not a game, it´s a serious business, so why use line that could let you down? Use the strongest and the best from the experts at MADCAT.

Unmatched Strength and Durability

The core benefit of the MADCAT Backbone is its incredible breaking strength. Engineered to be significantly stronger than its competitors, it gives you the confidence to apply maximum pressure during intense fights with the largest catfish. This superior strength-to-diameter ratio means you can trust your line in the most demanding situations, reducing the risk of break-offs against submerged snags, sharp rocks, or the sheer power of a leviathan. Its exceptional abrasion resistance ensures it withstands the harsh underwater environment, providing long-lasting, reliable performance season after season.

Supreme Sensitivity for Precision Angling

While immensely strong, the Backbone line offers a remarkable level of sensitivity. This allows you to feel every subtle take, bottom contour, and movement of your lure or bait. This instant feedback is crucial for techniques like pelagic and vertical fishing, where bites can be delicate and reaction time is everything. You´ll stay perfectly in tune with what´s happening below the surface, leading to more effective hook sets and a greater catch rate. Whether you are casting heavy lures, drifting with live bait, or setting static rigs, the Backbone provides the versatility and feedback required for total control.
