Mikado Hanger Styrofoam Pipe 16 cm bite alarm

MIKADO Hanger Styrofoam Pipe 16 cm Bite Alarm

Enhance your sensitivity and never miss a subtle take with the MIKADO Hanger Styrofoam Pipe 16 cm Bite Alarm. A classic and indispensable tool for the dedicated bottom fishing angler, this indicator is engineered for exceptional visual bite detection. It serves as a standard, hanging bite indicator specifically designed to perfect your bottom fishing technique, whether you are ledgering for carp, feeder fishing for bream, or targeting other wary bottom-dwelling species.

Crafted for performance and simplicity, this bite alarm offers a clear and immediate visual cue for any line movement. Its construction is centered around a highly buoyant and lightweight Styrofoam body. This ensures that even the faintest of bites—the ones often missed by less sensitive equipment—will register as a distinct movement of the hanger. The bright surface of the styrofoam pipe stands out against any background, providing excellent visibility during daylight hours, from dawn until dusk.

Key Features for Unmatched Performance:

The design integrates a durable, smooth metal fishing line mount at its tip. This crucial component allows your mainline to sit securely yet move freely without any risk of friction or damage, ensuring that every slight pull or release of tension is transferred directly to the indicator. Attachment to your rod is made effortless and secure thanks to a robust plastic arm, which clips firmly onto a rod guide. This system keeps the alarm perfectly positioned below your rod, ready to signal a bite, but allows for a quick release when you need to strike.

Visual Clarity and Audible Alerts with Bells:

While this MIKADO Hanger is a premier visual bite alarm, its effectiveness is magnified when used in a complete sensory setup. It provides the silent, nuanced information that electronic alarms might miss, showing you the gentle lift or slow drop indicative of a cautious fish. For a comprehensive alert system, pair this visual indicator with traditional Bells clipped to your rod tip. The styrofoam hanger will show you the initial, subtle investigation of your bait, while the bells can provide that loud, unmistakable audible alarm for a committed take, creating a perfect synergy of sight and sound.

This Large (L) version, with its 16 cm length, offers superb visibility and stability, making it ideal for a wide range of conditions, from still waters to gentle river currents. It is a fundamental piece of fishing equipment that provides reliable, straightforward performance, allowing the angler to interpret the activity at the rig end with precision. Add this essential visual indicator to your tackle box and gain the edge in detecting every single bite.
