Mikado Heli Protector set

MIKADO Heli Protector Set: The Ultimate Solution for Tangle-Free Helicopter Rigs

Elevate your carp and specimen fishing game with the MIKADO Heli Protector Set, an essential collection of small parts meticulously designed for constructing flawless and highly effective helicopter and Chod Rigs. Engineered for precision and reliability, this set provides anglers with the core components needed to achieve superior bait presentation, maximum casting distance, and unparalleled anti-tangle properties. Whether you are a seasoned carp angler or just discovering the benefits of the helicopter setup, this kit from MIKADO is your key to more confident and successful sessions on the bank.

The primary advantage of a well-constructed helicopter rig is its ability to be cast vast distances without the hooklink tangling around the leader. The MIKADO Heli Protector Set is purpose-built to perfect this function. The components work in harmony to ensure that during the cast, the hooklink rotates freely around the leader, keeping it separated from the lead system. This results in a perfectly presented rig upon landing, every single time, giving you the utmost confidence that your trap is set effectively, no matter the range.

This comprehensive kit is designed for versatility and performance. Each package contains a set of 3 complete helicopter rig making sets, providing excellent value and ensuring you are well-equipped for multiple setups or sessions. It is the ideal solution for building the immensely popular Chod Rig. The set includes precision-engineered rubber stoppers that need to be placed on a leader or a leadcore, high-grip locking beads for secure positioning, and a streamlined weight swivel cover. These components are the fundamental building blocks for a safe and efficient rig. The included protectors not only streamline the rig for casting but also shield critical knots and connections from damage.

One of the most significant benefits of this set is the enhancement of fish safety. The components are designed to allow the hooklink swivel to slide easily over the stoppers and off the leader under pressure, such as in the event of a mainline break. This ensures a tethered fish can free itself from the main leader and lead system, a critical feature for any conscientious angler. By using the MIKADO Heli Protector Set, you are choosing a system that prioritizes the welfare of the fish.

Furthermore, the design of these components ensures your rig can adapt to any lakebed. On soft silt or light weed, the hooklink can be positioned further up the leader, allowing the lead to plug into the bottom while the hookbait settles gently on top of the debris for optimal presentation. On clean gravel, the beads can be positioned closer to the lead for a more direct bolt effect. This adaptability makes the MIKADO Heli Protector Set a truly versatile tool for tackling any venue.
