Mikado Stream spoon 14g

MIKADO Stream Spoon 14g | Deep Water & River Fishing Lure

Unlock the full potential of your angling with the MIKADO Stream Spoon 14g, an essential addition to any serious angler´s tackle box. Engineered for performance and versatility, this lure is your key to tempting wary predators in a wide range of aquatic environments, from the still, deep waters of reservoirs to the dynamic currents of a flowing river. Its classic, elongated profile is the result of meticulous design, aimed at delivering a presentation that trophy fish find simply irresistible.

Unmatched Performance in Deep Water

The Stream spoon’s exceptional design truly comes to life in deep water scenarios. The specific shape of the blade is not just for show; it is hydrodynamically crafted to cut through the water with minimal resistance, making it significantly easier to work the lure effectively close to the bottom of deep reservoirs. Weighing in at a perfectly balanced 14 grams, this spoon has the heft needed for long, accurate casts, allowing you to cover vast areas of water and reach fish holding in the depths. Its ability to sink quickly and maintain its depth during retrieval makes it an indispensable tool for targeting species that patrol the lower sections of the water column.

A Lifelike Imitation for Maximum Attraction

When retrieved through the water, the MIKADO Stream spoon puts on a dazzling display. Its primary function is to perfectly resemble the slender, vulnerable profile of small baitfish and large aquatic insects, which are primary food sources for predatory game fish. The lure generates a pronounced wobbling and fluttering action, sending out powerful vibrations and eye-catching flashes of light that can be detected by fish from a great distance. This enticing movement mimics a distressed or fleeing prey animal, triggering an aggressive, instinctual strike from predators like pike, zander, large trout, and perch.

Mastering River Currents

For anglers who frequent rivers and streams, the Stream spoon offers a distinct tactical advantage. To achieve the most impressive results and provoke the most reaction strikes, the optimal technique is to lead the spoon against the current. Casting upstream or across the flow and retrieving it back towards you ensures the lure works at its peak. This method forces water over the spoon´s curved body, maximizing its vibrant action and creating a realistic struggle that fish waiting in ambush cannot overlook. It´s the perfect strategy for pulling aggressive trout and asp out of their lairs.
