Nomura Splinter jig 40g

NOMURA Splinter Jig 40g - The Ultimate Predatory Lure

Unleash the full potential of your jigging game with the NOMURA Splinter Jig 40g. This is not just another lure; it´s a precision-engineered tool designed for one purpose: to provoke and capture the most aggressive predators in the water. Its name is its business card: a wandering splinter capable of arousing the interest and aggression of any predator that passes nearby. If you are serious about jigging, the Splinter is an essential addition to your tackle box.

The core of the Splinter´s effectiveness lies in its unique and intelligent design. It features a compact and hydrodynamic body, allowing for exceptional casting distance and a swift descent through the water column to reach the strike zone quickly. The true innovation, however, is found in its asymmetrical construction. The two faces of the jig have a different profile, a deliberate engineering choice designed to drastically increase its movement capabilities during the sinking action. On the fall, this lure doesn´t simply drop; it dances, flutters, and slides erratically, perfectly mimicking a wounded and disoriented baitfish—a signal that no nearby predator can ignore. This unpredictable, fluttering descent creates maximum flash and vibration, triggering instinctive feeding responses from even the most cautious fish.

Versatility is a key benefit of the Splinter 40g. Falling within the popular 30-49 gr weight class for Jigs, it is perfectly balanced for a variety of scenarios. It excels in both shore jigging, where long, accurate casts are paramount, and vertical jigging from a boat. Target a vast array of species including bonito, jacks, snapper, sea bass, tuna, and grouper. Its action is effective with multiple retrieve techniques, from a fast, aggressive jerk and fall to a slower, more methodical lift, allowing you to adapt your presentation to the conditions and mood of the fish on any given day.

Nomura ensures this lure is ready for battle straight out of the package. The Splinter comes equipped with two high-quality single assist hooks. These hooks are expertly chosen to be light enough not to impede the lure´s signature action, yet at the same time, they are incredibly strong and feature razor-sharp points for immediate and secure penetration. The use of assist hooks provides a superior hook-up ratio, reduces the chance of the fish leveraging itself free during a fight, and is often preferred for a healthier catch and release. The durable, high-quality finish and realistic 3D eyes add the final touches, providing a critical visual trigger that seals the deal.
