Osculati Ikaros MOB Emergency Light

Enhance your vessel´s safety protocol with the OSCULATI Ikaros MOB Emergency Light, a critical component for any responsible mariner navigating coastal or open waters. Designed for immediate and effective response in a man-overboard situation, this device is an indispensable part of your safety equipment locker. Its primary purpose is to provide an instantaneous and highly conspicuous marker on the water´s surface, pinpointing the location of the incident for a swift and successful recovery operation. Engineered for ultimate reliability, the Ikaros MOB ensures that you are prepared for the unexpected, offering peace of mind to the captain, crew, and passengers alike.

This state-of-the-art distress signal is ingeniously designed for rapid deployment when every second counts. Its advanced, dual-function capability makes it exceptionally effective in all conditions, day or night. For daytime emergencies, it produces a large volume of dense, vividly colored smoke that is highly visible from a distance, even in rough seas or bright sunlight, creating a persistent plume that cannot be missed by rescue assets. For nighttime incidents or periods of low visibility, its powerful light function takes over, ensuring the position is clearly marked. This combination of light and smoke provides a continuous, reliable signal that significantly increases the probability of a quick location and rescue. Built to meet and exceed the rigorous demands of the marine environment, its robust construction ensures performance even after being deployed from significant heights into the water. It is approved to the highest international maritime safety standards, making it a trusted choice for both commercial and leisure vessels requiring SOLAS-compliant equipment.

Lights

The integrated emergency light is a crucial feature for nighttime man-overboard scenarios. Upon activation, the unit deploys a high-intensity, flashing white light that pierces through the darkness. This powerful strobe is designed for maximum visibility from the air and from other vessels on the water. It operates automatically and is engineered to function continuously for an extended duration, far exceeding the minimum requirements set by international maritime regulations. This ensures that the location of the person in the water remains clearly illuminated throughout the night, guiding search and rescue teams directly to the target with precision.
