PLASTIMO 117N Inflatable Lifebuoy - The Ultimate Compact Man Overboard Solution

Elevate the safety standards on your vessel with the PLASTIMO 117N Inflatable Lifebuoy, a crucial piece of equipment for any responsible mariner. Designed for rapid response in a man overboard (MOB) emergency, this innovative system replaces bulky, traditional lifebuoys with a compact, efficient, and highly effective solution. Ideal for sailboats, motor yachts, and commercial vessels where deck space is at a premium, this lifebuoy ensures you are always prepared for the unexpected without compromising on performance or accessibility.

Key Benefits for Uncompromised Safety at Sea:

The primary advantage of the PLASTIMO 117N is its space-saving and immediate deployment capability. Housed in a sleek, durable ABS case, it can be mounted conveniently on a pushpit or transom, ready for instant use. In a critical MOB situation, time is of the essence. This inflatable horseshoe launcher is designed to be thrown accurately towards the person in the water, inflating upon contact or via a manual pull to provide immediate, life-sustaining buoyancy. Its high-visibility yellow colour stands out against the waves, making it easy for both the crew and the person in the water to spot, significantly increasing the chances of a successful and swift recovery.

Main Features and Superior Design:

This is an inflatable horseshoe buoy without light.

The PLASTIMO 117N is an inflatable horseshoe launcher for the recovery of a man at sea, constructed from a highly durable, yellow polyurethane coated nylon.

It provides an impressive 117N of buoyancy and comes as a complete kit, including a floating anchor and a protective ABS case.

The system is meticulously engineered for reliability. The robust ABS container features well-defined rims and a secure structure that protects the inflatable buoy from UV degradation, saltwater spray, and accidental impacts, ensuring it remains in perfect condition until needed. The inclusion of a floating anchor, or drogue, is a critical feature; it prevents the lifebuoy from being quickly blown away from the casualty by wind and currents, a common problem with unanchored buoys in rough conditions. This keeps the vital flotation aid within reach of the person in the water, providing stability and support while the vessel manoeuvres for recovery.
