Plastimo Classic Antifouling Protector 5L

PLASTIMO Classic Antifouling Protector 5L: Reliable Seasonal Defence for Your Vessel

Ensure your boat´s hull remains clean, efficient, and protected throughout the sailing season with the PLASTIMO Classic Antifouling Protector. This high-quality, ablative (self-polishing) antifouling paint is engineered to provide dependable performance against marine growth in moderate fouling areas. As your vessel moves through the water, the paint´s surface layer gradually wears away, continuously exposing a fresh, active barrier. This self-renewing action not only guarantees consistent protection from slime, algae, and barnacles but also prevents the build-up of old paint layers, simplifying your end-of-season maintenance and preparation for the next year.

Designed for the discerning boat owner who values both performance and practicality, the PLASTIMO Classic Antifouling Protector is a versatile solution for a wide range of vessels. It offers excellent adhesion and proven protection for polyester (GRP), steel, and traditional wood hulls, making it a go-to choice for many cruisers and day sailors. Its unique formulation is also perfectly suitable for boats on drying berths or moorings, withstanding the cycle of exposure to air and water without compromising its protective qualities.

Ease of application is at the heart of this product´s design. Whether you are performing your annual maintenance or applying a fresh coat for the first time, this antifouling paint simplifies the process. It can be applied directly over most existing standard antifouling coatings (after proper preparation), saving you significant time and the labour-intensive effort of stripping the hull back to its original surface. With an impressive coverage ratio of approximately 10 m² per litre, this generous 5L can offers substantial coverage, ensuring you can protect your hull efficiently and economically.

To achieve the best results, application is straightforward within a wide temperature range of +5°C to +20°C, typical of spring maintenance seasons. The paint features a user-friendly drying time, allowing you to apply a subsequent coat after just 2 ½ hours. Most importantly, with a short waiting period of only 4 hours before launching, you can get your boat back in the water and enjoy the season with minimal downtime.
