PLASTIMO MK6 Jonbuoy Liferaft

Elevate the safety standards on your vessel with the PLASTIMO MK6 Jonbuoy Liferaft, a state-of-the-art Man Overboard (MOB) recovery module designed for rapid deployment and maximum casualty security. Engineered for the serious mariner, this compact and lightweight liferaft represents the pinnacle of personal safety equipment, offering a swift and effective solution in the critical moments following an MOB incident. It is an indispensable safety asset for all types of Boats, from coastal cruisers to offshore racing yachts.

Unparalleled Safety and Rapid Response

In a man overboard emergency, every second counts. The Jonbuoy MK6 is designed for immediate action. Housed in a sleek, unobtrusive container that mounts easily to the pushpit, it can be deployed in an instant. Upon contact with the water, the unit automatically inflates, providing a stable and highly visible platform for the person in the water. This crucial feature gets the casualty out of the cold sea, dramatically reducing the risk of hypothermia and increasing their chances of a successful recovery. The liferaft´s exceptional stability, provided by a large ballast pocket, ensures it remains upright and secure even in challenging sea conditions, giving the casualty a safe haven while awaiting rescue.

Superior Visibility and Recovery

Locating a person in the water, especially in rough seas or low light, is a primary challenge. The PLASTIMO MK6 Jonbuoy Liferaft tackles this head-on. Its bright, fluorescent colour makes it a conspicuous target against the water. Furthermore, it is equipped with a high-visibility, SOLAS-approved automatic light and generous retro-reflective tape, ensuring the liferaft and its occupant can be spotted from a distance, day or night. Recovery is also made safer and more manageable thanks to a robust, integrated lifting loop, designed to facilitate hoisting the person back aboard the vessel.

Advanced Features for Maximum Reliability
* Automatic Inflation System: Deploys and inflates the liferaft automatically upon water immersion for immediate readiness.
* Exceptional Stability: A large, weighted ballast pocket quickly fills with water, providing outstanding stability and preventing capsizing.
* High-Visibility SOLAS Light: An automatic, high-intensity light activates in the water, ensuring the casualty is visible in darkness or poor weather.
* Large Sea Anchor (Drogue): A sizeable drogue is included to reduce drift, keeping the liferaft closer to the point of the incident and preventing it from being blown away by the wind.
* Integrated Lifting Loop: A strong and easily accessible lifting ring is built into the structure to aid in the safe recovery of the casualty.
* Compact and Lightweight Design: The entire system is packed into a stylish and durable container for easy mounting and minimal deck intrusion.
