Key Benefits and Features:

Superior Protection for Equipment: The primary function of this tensor protector is to prevent costly damage. It effectively covers the hard, metallic components of your rigging, creating a soft, smooth barrier. This significantly reduces chafe on expensive genoa and spinnaker sails, as well as sheets and other running rigging that may come into contact with the turnbuckles during tacks, jibes, or in heavy seas. By preventing snags and wear, you extend the life of your most valuable sails and lines, saving on costly repairs and replacements.

Enhanced Crew Safety: An exposed turnbuckle with its split pins and sharp edges poses a significant hazard on deck. The PLASTIMO Tensor Protector envelops these components, minimizing the risk of cuts, scrapes, and bruises to your crew as they move around the deck. It also prevents clothing from getting snagged or torn, ensuring safer and more comfortable movement, especially during critical maneuvers.

Increased Rigging Longevity: Beyond protecting its surroundings, this cover also protects the tensor or turnbuckle itself. It shields the metal parts from constant exposure to saltwater spray and damaging UV rays, which can accelerate corrosion and degradation. By keeping the threads and body cleaner and better protected, it helps maintain the integrity and functionality of your standing rigging for longer.

Streamlined and Practical Design: Engineered for convenience, this protector features a smart design that allows for quick and easy installation without the need to dismantle your rigging. Its secure fastening system ensures it stays firmly in place even in rough conditions. The streamlined shape prevents it from catching wind or lines, helping to maintain your boat´s clean, efficient, and snag-free deck layout. The crisp white finish not only looks professional but also remains cooler in direct sunlight compared to darker colors.
