Plastimo Tensor Protector 465 mm

PLASTIMO Tensor Protector 465 mm | Rigging Screw Cover

Enhance the safety and longevity of your boat´s equipment with the PLASTIMO Tensor Protector 465 mm. As an essential accessory for any discerning sailor, this high-quality rigging screw cover is meticulously designed to eliminate the common hazards associated with exposed turnbuckles and rigging fittings. Move around your deck with confidence, knowing that your sails, clothing, and crew are shielded from potential damage and injury.

The primary benefit of this protector is its ability to create a smooth, snag-free surface over sharp and abrasive rigging components. It provides a robust cover for the rigging screw and fittings, to protect sails, clothes and skin from being snagged on exposed turnbuckle parts. This is especially critical during maneuvers like tacking or gybing, where sails can easily catch and tear on uncovered hardware, leading to expensive repairs and compromising performance. By installing these protectors, you safeguard your valuable genoa and spinnaker from chafe and rips, extending their lifespan significantly.

Beyond sail protection, the PLASTIMO Tensor Protector is a crucial safety feature. It prevents painful cuts, scrapes, and bruises that can occur from accidental contact with turnbuckle split pins and threads. This makes your deck a safer environment for everyone on board, from experienced crew to family and guests who may be less familiar with the boat´s hardware. Furthermore, it protects your expensive foul-weather gear and casual clothing from being torn or snagged while moving about the vessel.

Crafted for the demanding marine environment, this protector is built to last. Its durable construction ensures reliable performance season after season, resisting exposure to UV rays, saltwater, and temperature fluctuations. The sleek, clean finish not only provides superior protection but also gives your rigging a professional and tidy appearance, reflecting a well-maintained vessel. Installation is straightforward, allowing you to quickly and effectively upgrade your boat´s safety and equipment care.
