The primary benefit of the RIVIERA BU2 is its exceptional clarity and at-a-glance readability. The large 4-inch conical card, featuring clear 5-degree graduations, allows for quick and effortless heading checks from the helm. This is further enhanced by the standard 12V backlighting, which illuminates the card with a soft, non-glare light, making night navigation just as straightforward as daytime piloting. The compass is engineered for superior stability; its internal gimbal system ensures the card remains steady and readable even in challenging sea conditions, providing a trustworthy heading when you need it most. Accuracy is paramount, and the built-in compensation system allows for precise adjustments to counteract magnetic deviation from your boat´s electronic equipment, guaranteeing you stay true to your intended course.
