Riviera Prisma Compass 1.5V

RIVIERA Prisma Compass 1.5V | Precision Hand-Bearing Navigation

Navigate with absolute confidence and unparalleled accuracy using the RIVIERA Prisma Compass 1.5V, a masterfully engineered hand-bearing compass designed for the discerning mariner. Rooted in Italian craftsmanship, this essential piece of navigation equipment from our Boats and equipment collection provides the reliability and precision required for safe passage, whether you´re coastal cruising, racing, or undertaking long-distance voyages. It serves as both a primary tool for taking precise bearings and an indispensable non-electronic backup in any situation.

The core strength of the RIVIERA Prisma lies in its advanced prismatic reading system. This sophisticated feature allows you to simultaneously view the distant object (like a landmark, buoy, or another vessel) and the precise magnetic bearing on the compass card. This eliminates the parallax error common with standard hand-bearing compasses, ensuring you get the most accurate reading possible, every single time. This capability is critical for plotting fixes, determining your position, and calculating collision avoidance maneuvers with certainty.

Key Benefits for Unwavering Performance:

* Exceptional Accuracy: The integrated prism system delivers highly accurate, direct readings, empowering you to make critical navigational decisions with confidence.
* Superior Sensitivity & Durability: At the heart of the compass is a premium sapphire cup for the pivot. This jewel bearing dramatically reduces friction, allowing the compass card to react swiftly and settle quickly, even in challenging sea conditions. It also ensures exceptional longevity and consistent performance over years of use.
* 24-Hour Readability: Navigation doesn´t stop when the sun goes down. The Prisma Compass is equipped with built-in lighting, powered by a standard 1.5V battery, illuminating the card for clear and effortless readings during night passages or in low-light conditions.
* Versatile & Portable: As a hand-bearing compass, its ergonomic design makes it easy to handle and use anywhere on your vessel. It´s the perfect tool for the helm, the cockpit, or the chart table, ready at a moment´s notice.
* High-Clarity Display: The crisp white card features bold, black graduations for every single degree (1°), ensuring unambiguous readings at a glance. The large apparent diameter of 57.5 mm further enhances readability, reducing eye strain.

This instrument is more than just a compass; it´s a declaration of your commitment to safety and precision on the water. It is an essential tool for sailors and motorboat captains who value traditional navigation skills and demand the highest quality from their equipment.
