Salmo Sinking Minnow 5cm 3g – The Legendary Lure for Every Predator

Rediscover a true classic that continues to captivate anglers and fish alike with the Salmo Sinking Minnow 50 mm. This 3g masterpiece is a testament to timeless design and unparalleled fish-catching ability. Whether you´re a seasoned pro or just starting, the Minnow is the reliable, must-have lure that consistently delivers results when others fall short. Its legendary status is built on decades of success in waters all over the world.

Despite the fact that this is one of the oldest lures in the Salmo family, a lot of anglers are still mesmerized by this classic lure. It is characterized by fairly narrow and high frequency action and is a universal lure that can be fished in many ways to suit your preference. Ideal for catching all predatory fish, in all kinds of habitats, the MINNOW is available in floating and sinking variants.

This sinking version (5S) is engineered to explore the water column with precision. On the pause, it sinks with a subtle wobble, perfectly mimicking an injured or resting baitfish, a trigger that predatory fish find simply irresistible. This allows you to effectively target fish holding in deeper pools, along drop-offs, or get down quickly in faster currents where lighter lures are washed away.

The core of the Salmo Minnow´s success lies in its unique, vibrant action. On a steady retrieve, it produces a high-frequency, narrow wobble that sends out intense vibrations through the water, calling in predators from a distance. Its versatility is its greatest strength; twitch it, jerk it, or use a stop-and-go retrieve to create an erratic, darting action that simulates a panicked baitfish fleeing for its life. This adaptability makes it a phenomenal choice for a vast array of species, including trout, perch, chub, asp, and even smaller pike.

As part of Salmo´s celebrated lure range, which includes models from 10-70 mm and weights from 1-10 gr and more, this 50mm, 3g model is a finesse expert. It´s the perfect size for mimicking small forage fish, making it an essential tool for targeting finicky or pressured fish in both rivers and stillwaters. Every Salmo Minnow is individually hand-tuned and tank-tested to ensure it runs perfectly straight out of the box, giving you the confidence that your lure is performing at its peak on every single cast.
