Savage Gear Unhooking Mat

SAVAGE GEAR Unhooking Mat: Ultimate Fish Care for the Dedicated Angler

Prioritise the well-being of your prized catch with the SAVAGE GEAR Unhooking Mat, an essential piece of fishing equipment for every responsible angler. Designed with the core principles of fish safety and practicality in mind, this mat is the definitive choice for those who practice Catch & Release (C&R) and demand the best for their quarry. It provides a safe, clean, and cushioned surface, ensuring that specimen fish are protected from hard or abrasive ground during unhooking and photography.

This is a fish friendly Tauplin foam padded unhooking mat, for the serious C&R release angler.

Comes with printed measure tape for pictures.

Easy 3-way fold.

Makes the perfect boat cushion.

Engineered for performance both on the bankside and on the water, the SAVAGE GEAR Unhooking Mat excels in providing unparalleled protection. The generous, thick foam padding creates a substantial barrier, cradling the fish and minimising stress and potential injury. The surface material is specifically chosen for its fish-friendly properties, reducing the removal of the fish´s natural protective slime and ensuring it can be returned to the water in prime condition.

Functionality is at the heart of its design. For the angler who loves to document their success, the integrated measure tape printed directly onto the mat is a game-changer. It allows for quick, accurate measurement and stunning photographs without needing to handle the fish excessively or search for a separate tape. This feature helps you capture the moment perfectly while keeping the fish´s time out of the water to an absolute minimum.

Portability and storage are made effortless thanks to a clever and easy 3-way folding system. When not in use, the mat collapses into a compact, manageable size that is simple to transport and store within your bivvy, vehicle, or carryall. This thoughtful design means you never have to compromise on bringing proper fish care equipment, no matter how far you have to travel to your swim. Its versatility extends even further, as its robust and comfortable padding makes it the perfect boat cushion for long sessions on the water, providing dual-purpose value that every angler can appreciate.
