Talamex Bow With Hexagon Socket Head shackle

TALAMEX Bow Shackle with Hexagon Socket Head - Forged AISI 316 Stainless Steel

Secure the most critical connections on your vessel with the TALAMEX Bow Shackle, expertly engineered for superior performance and unwavering reliability in the harshest marine environments. As a vital piece of boat fitting, this shackle is designed for boaters who refuse to compromise on safety and durability. Whether you are setting an anchor, rigging a sail, or securing mooring lines, this high-strength shackle provides the peace of mind that comes from using premium-quality marine hardware.

Unmatched Strength and Corrosion Resistance

At the core of this shackle´s exceptional performance is its construction. Forged from marine-grade SS AISI 316 stainless steel, it offers the highest level of corrosion resistance available, standing up to the relentless effects of saltwater, spray, and humid air. The forging process, superior to casting, aligns the steel´s grain structure, resulting in a denser, stronger, and more fatigue-resistant component. This means you can trust its integrity for load-bearing applications where failure is not an option, ensuring longevity and reducing the need for frequent replacements.

Innovative and Secure Design

This TALAMEX shackle distinguishes itself with a modern and highly practical bolt featuring a hexagon socket head. This low-profile design is a significant advantage over traditional slotted or winged pins. It minimizes the risk of snagging on ropes, sails, clothing, or nets, creating a smoother and safer deck environment. The hexagon socket allows for tightening with a standard Allen key, enabling you to apply greater torque for a more secure fastening that is highly resistant to vibrating loose. This secure, flush-fit pin ensures that your connections remain steadfast, even in rough seas and under dynamic loads.

The classic "bow" or "omega" shape of these Shackles provides excellent versatility. It is designed to handle loads from multiple directions without developing significant side-loading, making it the ideal choice for anchor rodes, multi-leg bridle systems, and connecting to mooring buoys. Its generous rounded shape allows for easy attachment of multiple lines or thimbles.
