Castelli Squall Shell jacket

CASTELLI Squall Women´s Shell Jacket

Face down any storm with confidence in the CASTELLI Squall Women´s Shell Jacket. Engineered for the female cyclist who refuses to let rain and wind end a ride, this jacket is your indispensable shield against the elements. When the skies turn grey and the forecast is unpredictable, the Squall provides the ultimate peace of mind, combining high-performance protection with the sleek, tailored fit Castelli is renowned for. This is more than just a rain jacket; it´s a commitment to riding, no matter the weather.

The core of the Squall jacket is its advanced 2-layer 'synthetic' fabric, which houses a fully 'waterproof' and 'windproof' membrane. This technical construction creates an impenetrable barrier against driving rain and biting headwinds, ensuring your core stays dry and warm. To guarantee complete water integrity, all seams are meticulously taped, eliminating the weak points where moisture typically seeps through. With the Squall, you can push through the downpour knowing you are completely protected.

Unlike traditional bulky rain jackets that can feel restrictive and flap in the wind, the Squall boasts exceptional 'stretch' properties. This allows for a close, aerodynamic fit that moves with you, not against you. Whether you´re climbing, descending, or sprinting, the jacket provides full freedom of movement without compromising its protective qualities. The 'Women'´s-specific cut is tailored to the female form, eliminating excess material and ensuring a flattering, high-performance silhouette.

Practicality and safety are paramount in the Squall´s design. Its incredibly lightweight and 'compressible' nature is a game-changer for any cyclist. The jacket packs down small enough to be easily stowed in a jersey pocket, making it the perfect emergency layer to carry on every ride. You´ll barely notice it´s there until you need it most. For enhanced safety during dawn, dusk, or overcast conditions, strategically placed 'reflective accents' on the back dramatically increase your visibility to other road users, ensuring you are seen when it matters. Elastic closures at the waist and wrists create a secure seal, effectively keeping cold air and water out while trapping valuable warmth inside.
