CINELLI Vai Stem: Precision, Performance, and Italian Style for Road and MTB

Elevate your ride with the CINELLI Vai Stem. Crafted from durable 6061 T6 aluminum, its 3D forged construction ensures superior strength and responsiveness. Perfect for road or MTB, this stem offers a versatile 84°/96° reversible angle, allowing you to fine-tune your riding position for optimal comfort or aggressive performance. The secure four-bolt faceplate and two-bolt steerer clamp provide a reliable, slip-free connection. Experience Italian engineering and enhance your bike´s cockpit with this essential upgrade.

Unleash Your Bike´s Full Potential

The Cinelli Vai is more than just a connection point; it´s the command center of your bicycle. Engineered for cyclists who demand reliability and adaptability, this stem embodies the spirit of Italian cycling heritage. The core of its performance lies in the 3D forging process, which aligns the grain structure of the 6061 T6 aluminum alloy to create a component that is incredibly robust and resistant to fatigue, all while keeping the weight impressively low. This translates to a direct, confident feel at the handlebars, whether you are navigating technical singletrack on your mountain bike or sprinting for the finish line on your road bike. The Vai stem provides the stiffness needed for precise steering inputs, giving you the control you need when it matters most.

Customizable Comfort and Aggression

One of the standout features of the Cinelli Vai stem is its brilliant versatility. The reversible 84°/96° angle design gives you the power to completely transform your riding posture. Install it with a positive rise (+6°) for a more upright, relaxed position that reduces strain on your back and neck, perfect for long-distance touring, endurance road cycling, or comfortable trail riding. For those seeking a competitive edge, simply flip the stem to achieve a negative rise (-6°). This creates a lower, more aerodynamic profile, allowing you to slice through the wind more efficiently and put more power down. This adaptability makes the Vai an excellent choice for riders whose needs change or for those looking to experiment with their bike fit without purchasing multiple stems.

Secure and Dependable Construction

Your safety is paramount, and the Vai stem is built to provide a rock-solid, secure connection between your handlebars and fork. The four-bolt faceplate design ensures that clamping pressure is distributed evenly across the handlebar surface, which is crucial for preventing slippage and is especially important when using lightweight carbon handlebars. The opposing two-bolt steerer clamp provides a firm, reliable grip on the fork´s steerer tube, ensuring your front end remains perfectly aligned and responsive under all conditions. Finished in a sleek black anodization with iconic Cinelli branding, the Vai stem not only performs exceptionally but also adds a touch of classic Italian style to any bicycle.

I changed the old stem with 2 different hexes to a new one from cinelli with one hex. It looks reliable, but in my opinion a lot of symbols are drawn on it, you could do with just paint and the cinelli sign on the front cover. But overall it's the best value for your money.

ordered 130mm length. everything seems good, installed using one bigger ring spacer than it was initially with previous stem. to everyone who is planning to install new stem - mind that you may need some different combination of ring spacers as your current stem may have slightly different height. in my case that new stem was about 2-3mm shorter and I had to use one bigger ring spacer than it was installed.

Perfect !!
