Jagwire Cable Cutter

Achieve workshop-level precision and flawless performance with the Jagwire Cable Cutter, an indispensable tool for every serious cyclist and professional mechanic. Designed for the specific demands of modern bicycle maintenance, this cutter is the key to unlocking crisp shifting and powerful, responsive braking. Stop struggling with standard pliers or side cutters that crush and fray your cables, leading to poor performance and frustrating adjustments. The Jagwire Cable Cutter is engineered to deliver a perfectly clean, sharp, and compressed cut on both inner cables and outer housing every single time.

Built with the exacting standards that define the Jagwire brand, this maintenance essential ensures your bike´s control systems function as intended. The ultra-sharp, hardened steel blades are specifically shaped to slice cleanly through steel brake and shift cables without splaying the individual strands. This clean cut makes threading the cable through housing and components an effortless task, saving you time and eliminating the need to re-cut frayed ends. Furthermore, its powerful cutting action cleanly severs even the toughest reinforced brake housing and compressionless shift housing, creating a perfectly flat surface that ensures optimal ferrule fit and performance.

Beyond its primary cutting function, this multi-purpose tool is packed with features designed for workshop efficiency. The ergonomic handles provide a comfortable, non-slip grip, allowing you to apply significant cutting force with minimal hand fatigue, even during a full day of bike builds. Integrated into its robust design, you´ll find a built-in crimper, perfectly formed to secure cable end caps for a professional and safe finish. An additional awl, cleverly integrated into the handle on some models, is ideal for opening up the ends of freshly cut housing to ensure smooth cable passage.

For ultimate workshop cleanliness and efficiency, Jagwire also offers a specialized tool for finishing touches. The Sport Zip-Tie Cutter by Jagwire is a cable tie cutter that not only allows you to cut cable ties cleanly with one hand. It also has a handy holding device that holds the cut-off part so you can dispose of it directly, so no rubbish accumulates on the workshop floor. This innovative feature is a game-changer for keeping your workspace tidy and safe, preventing small plastic pieces from scattering across the floor or, worse, finding their way into sensitive bike components.

Whether you are a DIY enthusiast dedicated to perfecting your own ride or a professional mechanic demanding reliability and precision, the Jagwire Cable Cutter is a fundamental component of your toolkit. Investing in this high-quality tool means investing in better performance, easier installations, and a more professional and enjoyable maintenance experience. Elevate your craft and ensure every cable you cut is a perfect one with Jagwire
