Product description of KCNC KFP01 plug

Description summary

Unlock your fork´s hidden potential with the KCNC KFP01 Steerer Tube Plug. This innovative, precision-machined aluminum plug transforms the unused space in your fork into a secure, rattle-free storage compartment for essential tools. Ditch bulky bags for a clean, streamlined look. The clever, tool-free rubber expander allows for instant, by-hand access to your gear while sealing the steerer from mud and water, protecting your headset. A lightweight, essential upgrade for mountain, gravel, and road cyclists who demand both form and function

KCNC KFP01 Fork Steerer Tube Plug for Tool Storage

Unlock the hidden potential of your bicycle with the innovative KCNC KFP01 Fork Plug. Designed for the discerning cyclist who values efficiency, integration, and a clean aesthetic, this premium component transforms the unused space inside your fork´s steerer tube into a convenient and accessible storage compartment. Move beyond bulky saddlebags and overstuffed jersey pockets; the KFP01 plug is the elegant solution for carrying essential tools without compromising your bike´s streamlined look.

This is more than just a simple cap; it is a gateway to a smarter, more prepared ride. The primary benefit of the KFP01 is its ability to securely seal the bottom of your fork steerer, creating a protected internal cavity. This space is perfect for stashing a multi-tool, tire levers, a CO2 cartridge, or other small repair items, ensuring they are always with your bike and ready for any trailside or roadside mechanical issue. By storing these items low and centered within the bike´s frame, you maintain a balanced center of gravity and eliminate the annoying rattle of loose tools in a bag.

Engineered with precision and user-friendliness in mind, the KCNC KFP01 features an intelligent rubber expander mechanism. This design allows for incredibly easy, tool-free installation and removal. A simple twist by hand is all it takes to securely lock the plug in place or to access your stored tools. This quick-access functionality means you spend less time fumbling for gear and more time riding. Furthermore, the plug effectively seals the steerer tube from below, preventing mud, water, and grit from entering and potentially damaging your headset bearings from the inside, thus extending the life of your components.

Crafted for performance, this fork plug adds minimal weight to your setup while delivering maximum utility. It is an essential upgrade for mountain bikers, gravel grinders, and road cyclists who demand both form and function from every part of their machine.

Features:
- Stop that allows you to take advantage of the hole in the fork tube to store tools.
- Made of machined aluminum.
- Very easy to open by hand thanks to the rubber expander.

Good product at a good price. Original product and suitable for its function. It perfectly covers the power at the bottom to prevent dirt from entering and allows it to be closed hermetically so that a mechanical element (key) can be inserted.

Alexandre

Hi Does it work with a fox factory 38 (which is not perfectly round) ? Thx

Answer of ALBERT

Good morning, I can only guarantee that it fits perfectly for the rock shox sid fork. All the best.

Answer of Antoni

It depends on the diameter of the fork hole, it doesn´t work well, on my fork that has a 38 mm hole it doesn´t cover it, they would have to make more than one measurement.

Ramon Lozano

What is the minimum size it supports and which is the maximum? That is, for what range of tube diameters would it be suitable? Thank you

Answer of ALBERT

The diameter is extendable from 31 to 40 mm. Very practical for storing utensils, as well as preventing dirt from entering the inside of the fork tube.

If you use the cap to carry a spare CO2 bottle...how do you prevent it from making noise? Or does the cap have some kind of attachment to hold the bottle?

Answer of ALBERT

Perfect for taking advantage of the interior space of the fork to store items. It doesn´t have a CO2 bottle holder, but to prevent noise, you can fix this by wrapping the cylinder in plastic wrap.

Answer of Christian

The cap only covers the fork tube and has no attachment for a CO2 cartridge. To prevent a cartridge from rattling, it would have to be stored in a small bag or something similar inside the fork tube.
