Description summary

Experience the best of both worlds with the KCNC SPD Mixed Pedals. Engineered for the dynamic MTB rider, these pedals fuse clipless efficiency with platform freedom. At an impressive 325g, these lightweight pedals feature adjustable release tension, allowing you to customize your connection for any trail or commute

KCNC SPD Mixed Pedals | Ultimate Versatility for MTB Cycling

Unleash the full potential of your mountain bike with the KCNC SPD Mixed Pedals. Expertly engineered for the dynamic rider who refuses to compromise, these pedals deliver the perfect fusion of clipless efficiency and platform freedom. Whether you´re powering up a steep technical climb, navigating a tricky rock garden, or simply commuting to the trailhead in your favorite shoes, the KCNC Mixed Pedals adapt instantly to your needs, providing a superior connection and control in every situation.

Experience the best of both worlds on every ride. One side features a robust and reliable automatic clipless mechanism, fully compatible with the Shimano SPD system, allowing you to lock in for maximum power transfer and a secure feel during intense pedaling efforts. This clipless interface ensures that every watt of your energy is translated directly into forward momentum, making them ideal for cross-country, trail, and all-day epic adventures.

Flip the pedal over to reveal a spacious and confidence-inspiring platform. This side is equipped with strategically placed grip pins that provide exceptional traction and stability for your footwear. It’s the perfect choice for tackling highly technical descents where you might need to dab a foot quickly, for practicing new skills, or for those casual rides where you prefer the comfort and convenience of regular shoes. The aggressive pins bite securely into the soles of your shoes, ensuring your feet stay planted even through mud, water, and rough terrain.

Tailor your ride experience with ease. The KCNC SPD Mixed Pedals feature an adjustable release tension system for the clipless mechanism. Using a simple Allen key, you can fine-tune the entry and release force to match your personal preference and riding style, from a lighter setting for beginners to a firm hold for aggressive racers. This level of customization ensures a secure connection when you need it and a predictable release when you don´t. At an impressive weight of just 325 grams for the pair, these pedals offer a significant performance advantage without sacrificing durability, reducing rotational mass for quicker acceleration and less fatigue on long rides.

What our customers are saying about KCNC SPD Mixed pedals

These dual-purpose pedals offer excellent value and reliable performance. Their lightweight design, weighing around 170gr per pedal, is a key feature for many riders. The platform side provides good grip for various footwear, ideal for trail riding and excursions where flexibility is needed. The SPD mechanism is smooth and efficient, allowing easy clipping in and out, with some practice. Available in multiple colors, these pedals are a great option for XC to trail riding and long-distance crossings, offering the convenience of both cleat and platform use

Reliable pedals, good value for money. The weight is also very good. It's nice that this pedal is available in different colors. I use it on five of my bikes.

Massimiliano

Excellent pedals, light with a weight of 170gr per pedal compared to Shimano's weighing 190gr. The only flaw, they are not supplied with some spare parts such as the foot support points. They come with cleats.

Mario

Perfect for trail, excursions, frequent use. Having both possibilities is a point, but always if you are clear that you will need both the coves and platform. The face of the platform seems small but it is enough, it grabs perfect in almost all types of footwear, but if you have specific AM or Trail shoes it is your thing. The part of the cove, because like all the SPD, is going very well and as always it needs a little practice to unhook but it is taken immediately (a couple of times to the ground and a few laughs and the third fall takes longer to arrive). Very safe to be able to unhook and use the platform in certain descents. The pedal rotates smoothly but is not loose or "crazy" so for the change from cove to platform you must turn it, I prefer it. You need some practice but for me what I do from XC to Trail or long crossings are great.

Excellent pedals

Small but effective

Jim

I have a spare bike that I use for light trail riding as well as rod training with slicks. The dual purpose pedals give me the flexibility to go casual or clip in for a workout. I have only ridden these pedals twice so far but once with flats and once clipped in. They are smaller platforms than I expected but grippy as flats, the spd mechanism works smoothly. Good buy.
