Kryptonite Keeper 785 Chain Lock: Reliable Security for Your Daily Ride

Protect your bicycle, e-scooter, or motorcycle with the dependable and convenient Kryptonite Keeper 785 Chain Lock. As a leading choice in the Locks subcategory, this security solution is engineered for everyday peace of mind, blending robust construction with user-friendly features. It is the perfect balance of practicality and protection for commuters, students, and urban riders who need a trustworthy deterrent against theft. The integrated design means you never have to worry about juggling a separate padlock and chain; it´s a single, cohesive unit ready to secure your vehicle in seconds. Whether you´re making a quick stop at a café or leaving your bike parked at the office, the Keeper 785 provides essential protection.

Secure your ride with the Kryptonite Keeper 785 Chain Lock, offering moderate security (5/10) for low to moderate-risk areas. Its hardened, triple-heat-treated steel chain and patent-pending end link design resist cutting and leverage attacks, while the pick-resistant disc cylinder frustrates thieves. A protective nylon sleeve prevents frame scratches. Two ergonomic keys are included, and you can register for the Key Safe Program for free lost key replacement. This integrated padlock chain is your reliable companion for everyday security.

The core of this lock´s strength lies in its intelligent design. The 7mm four-sided chain links are specifically engineered to provide a robust barrier against cutting tools. The innovative, patent-pending end link design is a standout feature, creating a seamless and reinforced connection directly to the hardened deadbolt. This eliminates a traditional point of vulnerability, significantly enhancing the lock´s overall holding power and resistance to leverage-based attacks.

At the heart of the security system is the high-security disc-style cylinder. This advanced locking mechanism is inherently more secure than traditional pin-tumbler designs, offering superior protection against both picking and drilling attempts. Thieves looking for an easy target will be deterred by this sophisticated internal design. The integrated Padlock Chain format streamlines the locking process, making it fast and efficient.

Thoughtful details enhance the user experience. The durable, weather-resistant nylon sleeve does more than just display the iconic Kryptonite logo; it serves the critical function of protecting your bike´s paint and finish from scratches, chips, and dings during application and transport. The two included ergonomic ´I´ Keys are designed for easy handling and reduce the amount of torque needed to operate the lock, preventing them from bending or breaking. Plus, with Kryptonite´s Key Safe Program, you can have confidence knowing that if you ever lose your Keys, replacements are just a registration away.

What our customers are saying about Kryptonite Keeper 785 chain lock

This Kryptonite chain lock offers excellent security and quality. Its robust construction and strong chain provide peace of mind, with a fabric cover protecting your bike from scratches. While some find it heavy, this contributes to its durability. The 85cm length is often ideal for securing a single bike, though a longer version would be beneficial for certain parking situations. Key insertion can be a bit slow but the overall performance and value are highly rated for bike theft prevention

Pepe

I bought the Kryptonite Keeper 785 chain lock because it achieved good to very good results in tests. Because I ordered through BikeInn, the price/performance ratio was also right. I am completely satisfied with this!

Good product with low weight and good value in its security class. It would be nice if this lock were also available in a longer version.

Although it is a bit cumbersome for the weight. I stay calm when I leave the bike on the street.

The lock system needs to be improved

Larry

Excellent quality, no doubt about Kryptonite, but... inserting the key isn't that quick. There's a sort of pre-lock that turns, and you have to be patient to get the key fully inserted. It's quite heavy, but then again, if you want peace of mind, that's the price you pay!

Robust

2025/12/24

Tomás

It seems like a good lock, judging by the weight and the quality of all the components at first glance. It's a little heavy, but nothing unbearable, and that actually adds to its security. At 85cm, I think it's the perfect size to secure my bike against unwanted attention. I recommend it and would buy it again.

Kis Kryptonite láncoszár

A zárnyelv túl könnyen előfordul, egyébként jó kis zár, biztonságosnak tűnik! Egy kábel zárral kiegészítővel tökéletes.

Perfect lock

2025/06/22

peter

...we've already purchased the second lock of this type and are very satisfied. Long enough and flexible enough to even tie two bikes together. The fabric cover prevents scratches on the bike.

Good

Looks solid, but the length is not enough to comfortably lock the bike in the typical Copenhagens bike parking
