Product description of Sapim CX-Ray Straight Pull spoke

Their innovative straight pull design eliminates weak points, ensuring superior stiffness and power transfer. Nearly as light as titanium, CX-Rays offer explosive acceleration and responsive handling without compromising durability. Experience a tangible competitive advantage and build confidence with this ultimate all-rounder spoke

SAPIM CX-Ray Straight Pull Spokes: The Pinnacle of Aerodynamics and Strength

Elevate your wheelset to a professional standard with the SAPIM CX-Ray Straight Pull spoke, the undisputed choice for cyclists who demand the absolute best in performance, weight, and reliability. Widely regarded as the most advanced aero spoke ever created, the CX-Ray delivers a tangible competitive advantage, whether you´re sprinting for the finish line, conquering a technical mountain trail, or embarking on an epic gravel adventure. Its legendary status is built on a no-compromise design that has been tested and proven by top-tier athletes across all cycling disciplines.

The primary benefit of the CX-Ray lies in its exceptional fusion of three critical characteristics: aerodynamics, low weight, and immense strength. The unique elliptical, bladed shape is engineered to slice through the air with minimal resistance, saving you precious watts and energy over long distances. This aerodynamic efficiency is achieved without sacrificing weight; in fact, the CX-Ray is nearly as light as a titanium spoke, allowing for faster acceleration, more responsive handling, and easier climbing. Despite its featherlight profile, it possesses an unmatched fatigue life, making it incredibly durable and resilient against the stresses of high-torque efforts and rough terrain.

Designed for the modern wheelset, this Straight Pull version offers a distinct advantage over traditional J-bend spokes. By creating a direct line from the hub to the rim, the Straight Pull design eliminates the vulnerable elbow, a common point of failure. This results in a stronger, stiffer, and more reliable wheel build with superior power transfer, ensuring every ounce of your effort is translated into forward motion.

Unmatched Versatility for Every Rider:

The SAPIM CX-Ray´s superior qualities make it the ultimate all-rounder spoke, excelling in every application:

* Road Cycling: Experience the aero gains in time trials and road races, and appreciate the stiffness during explosive sprints and out-of-the-saddle climbs.
* MTB Cycling: Trust in its incredible strength and fatigue resistance to handle the punishing impacts of cross-country, enduro, and even downhill riding, all while keeping your wheelset light and nimble.
* Gravel Cycling: Get the perfect blend of performance and durability. The CX-Ray is light enough for long days in the saddle and tough enough to withstand the vibrations and hits of unpaved roads and challenging singletrack.

When building or upgrading your wheels, choosing SAPIM CX-Ray Straight Pull spokes is an investment in world-class performance. Build with confidence, ride with speed, and discover the ultimate in wheel technology.

I don't know why my wheels came with a size of 285 and I bought 284, despite the mm less the radius is perfect and is much harder and more resistant than the dtSwiss Aerolite ones that bend and hurt when tensioning the rim. For the price I think it could bring the nipple but without a doubt the best spokes.

The radius is what I expected, but it arrives without a counter-thread and 1 week late.

Quality spokes. The package is well packed. Large box with each radio separately in its bag, and with plenty of protection. It does not bring the heads (as indicated). The shipment could be faster, it puts one thing and then it arrives later.

I need to know the measurement and if it is flat or round.

Answer of Israel

In my case, the measurement was exactly as marked. The spokes are flat in the middle and rounded (about 3 cm long) at the ends. It´s a straight-leg spoke, of excellent quality. It holds up well to snags and is very difficult to break. It´s also lightweight.
