The Split Mips is our fastest racing helmet to date, designed with the needs of serious athletes and fastest riders in mind. Extensive wind-tunnel analysis and testing with professional riders, allowed all details of this helmet to be meticulously analyzed. The Aero Reshape Concept (ARC) is an innovative design approach allowing riders to change the rear of the helmet to suit two different riding styles, optimizing aerodynamics depending on the riding need, body shape and cockpit set-up. The inclusion of a magnetic visor with Amplifier Lens Technology improves contrast and clarity, allowing you to elevate your performance.

Technology:

Mips® Safety System:
- The brain is typically more sensitive to rotational motion than linear motion because it has shear properties similar to water or gel. When different parts of the brain move relative to each other because of rotational motion, the tissues can stretch, which can cause concussions or other brain injuries.

Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions and more severe brain injury in oblique hits to the head. The Mips® safety system consists of a low friction layer mounted inside the helmet. In a crash, the low friction layer is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head. This is intended to help reduce the risk of brain injury.

A Safety System That Mimics The Brain:
- Unlike traditional helmets, which are mainly designed and tested for straight impacts, the Mips® safety system’s low-friction layer mimics the brain’s own system for protection against rotational motion.

Straight Vs Angled Impacts:
- Traditional helmets are designed for straight impacts, but most impacts are angled.
The low friction layer is designed to reduce the rotational force of angled impacts.

Aero Optimized:
- Our Aero-optimized helmets were developed in cooperation with our Pro athletes. Designed and engineered to maximize aerodynamics, these helmets allow for that precious increase in rider speed. Extensive testing in the wind tunnels allowed us to minimize drag in multiple head positions.

Aero Reshape Concept (ARC):
- An innovative design approach allowing riders to change the rear of the helmet to suit two different riding styles, optimizing aerodynamics depending on the riding need, body shape and cockpit set-up.

Low Head Position:
- Optimal skirt for when the rider is in a low, aggressive riding position, typically seen in time trials. It has been designed to seamlessly integrate with the helmet´s overall shape, allowing the flow of air to be streamlined over the rider´s shoulders, shielding the whole body, allowing the rider to maintain higher speeds with less energy output.

High Head Position:
- Optimal skirt for when the rider is in a higher, more upright position, typically seen in triathlons. The shape of the skirt allows the air to flow smoothly over the head and neck, minimizing drag, allowing for aerodynamic efficiency, especially when in crosswinds.

Amplifier Lens Technology:
- SCOTT´s Amplifier lenses filter what the eye sees, resulting in improved contrast, clarity and amplified vision, ensuring your performance is elevated, no matter the terrain.

Care:

- Machine wash: Normal treatment (max. 30°C)
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry
- Iron with low heat (max. 110°C)
- Do not dry clean
- Do not use fabric softener
- Wash with similar colours or separate washing
