I´d say it´s less than 20L when compared to a 20L Decathlon backpack. I can´t fit as much in the Black Diamond as I can in the Decathlon. I miss having pockets near the shoulders for sunglasses or whatever, like Salomon vests and other brands have, but hey, it´s really light, durable, and makes you want to run with it without hardly noticing it. I think it´s perfect for the Pyrenees
