Black Diamond Highline Stretch Shell jacket

Black Diamond Highline Stretch Shell Jacket

Engineered for the dynamic demands of alpine adventure, the Black Diamond Highline Stretch Shell is the ultimate fusion of durable protection and unparalleled freedom of movement. As our premier, high-performance three-layer mountain and alpine shell, this jacket is built for those who push their limits in unpredictable conditions. Designed for men who require a technical hardshell that moves with them, not against them, the Highline is your most trusted companion from the trailhead to the summit.

At its core is our high-performance BD.dry™ solution, a fully waterproof, windproof, and breathable barrier that shields you from the harshest elements. What truly sets the Highline apart is its revolutionary GTT Empel™ Breathable Water Protection Technology. This environmentally friendly, PFC-free finish is hyper-fused to the individual fibers of the fabric, delivering superior water-repellency and durability that won´t wash or wear out over time. This means you stay drier for longer, without the need for frequent re-application of traditional repellent sprays.

The "Stretch" in its name is no understatement. This jacket provides exceptional mobility, allowing you to reach for the next hold, swing an ice axe, or pole-plant with complete, unrestricted confidence. We’ve enhanced this freedom with strategically placed underarm gussets that ensure the jacket stays put, even during overhead movements. For high-output moments on the ascent, large DWR-treated pit zips allow for rapid ventilation, helping you regulate your core temperature without compromising protection.

Every detail is meticulously crafted for mountain functionality. The jacket is equipped with an adjustable, climbing-helmet-compatible hood that offers full coverage without impeding your peripheral vision. All external zippers are industry-leading YKK Aquaguard, sealing out moisture from every entry point. The main front zipper provides a robust primary closure, while pockets keep your essentials secure and dry. Fine-tune your fit with custom-molded cuff tabs and a concealed hem drawcord to block out drafts and spindrift. Despite its robust protection, this advanced synthetic shell is incredibly lightweight and compressible. When the weather clears, it conveniently packs into its own right-hand pocket, which features a carabiner clip loop for easy attachment to your harness or pack.
