Baetis Salt Water Flashabou

Elevate your saltwater fly tying to a professional level with BAETIS Salt Water Flashabou. This isn´t just another tinsel; it´s a meticulously engineered material designed to trigger the predatory instincts of the most challenging gamefish. Whether you´re targeting tarpon on the flats, stripers in the surf, or toothy predators in the blue water, this material will give your patterns the critical edge they need to produce strikes. The core principle behind its design is to deliver maximum flash and movement, perfectly simulating the scales and frantic motion of fleeing baitfish.

In the water, BAETIS Salt Water Flashabou transforms. Its extremely soft and highly mobile nature allows it to undulate and "breathe" with the slightest current or strip of the line, creating a pulsating action that fish find irresistible. This lifelike movement is the key difference between a fly that looks good in the vise and one that truly comes alive underwater. The broad, flat profile of the strands catches and reflects light from every angle, generating a brilliant, attention-grabbing sparkle that can be seen from a distance, even in murky or deep water. This intense flash is essential for drawing fish in and provoking an aggressive response.

Saltwater Flashabou is wider than the original to fit the needs of the saltwater tyer.

A very strong, sparkle, flat mylar.

Used on almost every style of flies.

Extremly soft, highly mobile with a pulsating action.

Excellent for wings, tails and bodies.

Strand width approximately 2mm.

Unmatched Durability and Versatility

Crafted for the harsh realities of saltwater fly fishing, the BAETIS Salt Water Flashabou is exceptionally strong. It stands up to aggressive strikes, abrasive teeth, and the corrosive saltwater environment, ensuring your meticulously tied flies last longer. Its versatility is legendary among fly tyers. Use it to create shimmering, reflective wings on a Deceiver, a flowing and enticing tail on a Clouser Minnow, or wrap it to form a flashy, durable body on large baitfish imitations. It can also be incorporated sparingly into patterns as a rib or underwing to add a subtle hint of sparkle and life. The wider 2mm strands provide a more pronounced profile and flash, making it the ideal choice for building larger patterns without unnecessary bulk.

With BAETIS Salt Water Flashabou in your material collection, you are equipped to tie more effective, more durable, and more visually stimulating flies. It is the definitive choice for tyers who demand high performance and refuse to compromise on quality.
