MADCAT White Close Combat Spinning Rod

Experience the raw power and unparalleled sensitivity of the MADCAT White Close Combat Spinning Rod, a masterclass in design for the dedicated catfish angler. Engineered for intense, close-quarters battles, this spinning rod redefines what it means to connect with your catch. When the fight is up close and personal, every movement counts, and the White Close Combat ensures you are in absolute control from the strike to the net.

Making a rod lighter and more sensitive is a way of getting a closer connection to the fish, which is exactly what we wanted to do with the Close Combat.

Lighter and more sensitive than ever before, this rod is also slimmer giving it a wonderful action and ensuring you feel every surge in the fight.

The fighter grip is covered by X-wrap shrink tube, which improves overall grip and is easier to clean, while the SeaGuide reel seat features a dual locking nut system to keep your reel securely in place.

Ideal for vertical jigging.

This rod is purpose-built for the demanding technique of vertical jigging from a boat, where tactile feedback and immediate power are non-negotiable. The rod’s responsive action allows you to impart the perfect motion to your lure and instantly detect even the most subtle of bites in deep water. When a monster catfish inhales your jig, the powerful backbone of the White Close Combat provides the lifting power needed to pull it away from snags and control the fight.

Every feature is meticulously designed for performance under pressure. The innovative fighter grip, enhanced with an X-wrap shrink tube, delivers superior, non-slip handling and leverage, giving you the confidence to apply maximum force. This durable grip is also practical, being exceptionally easy to clean after a long day on the water. To guarantee a rock-solid foundation for your reel, the rod is fitted with a premium SeaGuide reel seat, complete with a dual locking nut system. This feature eliminates any play or movement, ensuring your gear works as one seamless unit during the most brutal encounters.

The MADCAT White Close Combat isn´t just a tool; it´s an extension of the angler, built to dominate the vertical jigging domain and conquer the most powerful freshwater predators.
