PLASTIMO Contest 101 Vertical Mounting Compass With Red Card

Navigate with confidence using the PLASTIMO Contest 101. This premium vertical-mounting compass, designed for sailboats over 9m, boasts exceptional readability with its vibrant red conical card and clear 5-degree graduations. Its innovative double-reading system allows viewing from both cockpit and cabin, enhancing crew coordination. SOLAS-MED approved, it features superior card stability via advanced gimbaling and vibration absorption. Includes an integrated inclinometer for heeling measurement and 12-24V LED lighting for night navigation. Trusted globally for accuracy and durability, the Contest 101 is the benchmark for sailors who demand precision and reliability at sea.

Unmatched Clarity and Performance for the Discerning Sailor

The PLASTIMO Contest 101 is engineered to provide an uncompromising navigation experience. Its iconic red conical card is specifically designed for instant and accurate course reading, dramatically reducing eye strain and improving recognition in challenging weather or high-stress racing conditions. The large, clear figures and 5-degree graduations ensure you can maintain your heading with just a glance.

A standout feature is the ingenious double-reading capability. This allows the helmsman to read the course from the cockpit while crew members can simultaneously reference the same heading from the cabin. This shared visibility is invaluable for tactical decision-making, sail trim adjustments, and overall crew synergy, making it a superior choice for both cruising and competitive sailing.

Engineered for Stability in the Roughest Seas

At the heart of the Contest 101 lies Plastimo´s exclusive Vibration Absorber system. This advanced gimbaling technology ensures the compass card remains exceptionally stable and perfectly horizontal, regardless of the sea state or the angle of heel. This unwavering stability guarantees a steady, reliable reading when you need it most, eliminating the frustration of a swinging or lagging card in rough waters. Its SOLAS-MED certification is a testament to its professional-grade accuracy and robust construction, meeting the stringent requirements for marine safety equipment.
