POLY ROPES Escota 85 m: The Ultimate High-Grip Sheet for Cruising and Dinghy Sailing

Elevate your sailing experience with the POLY ROPES Escota 85 m rope, a premium line meticulously designed for sailors who demand superior performance, exceptional handling, and unwavering reliability. As a leading choice in our Boats and equipment category, this rope is expertly crafted for use as a main sheet, jib sheet, or high-performance control line on a wide range of vessels. Whether you are navigating coastal waters on your cruiser or competing in a weekend dinghy regatta, the Escota line delivers the confidence and control you need to trim your sails with precision.

Engineered for excellence, the construction of this line sets it apart. Our Cruising Skot from Polyropes is made of a 24-braided construction with a braided inner core, making the sheet very dimensionally stable and rigid. The casing/sheath is made of spun yarns which make the line more downy compared to a classic sheet. This provides an extra strong grip. This Cruising Sheet is maximum UV-stabilized and sinks in water, ensuring it stays clear of propellers and performs consistently in the demanding marine environment.

Unmatched Grip and Superior Handling

One of the most significant advantages of the POLY ROPES Escota is its extraordinary grip. The unique "downy" texture of the sheath provides a soft yet firm feel in the hand, significantly reducing slippage through clutches, on winches, and in your hands. This enhanced tactile control allows for finer adjustments to sail trim and reduces hand fatigue during long passages or intense maneuvers. Even when wet, the line maintains its grippy character, ensuring secure handling in all weather conditions.

Exceptional Durability and Dimensional Stability

The advanced 24-braided construction over a braided core provides remarkable dimensional stability and rigidity. This means the Escota rope exhibits very low stretch, ensuring that your sail settings remain precise and consistent, even under heavy load. This robust build also offers excellent abrasion resistance, protecting the line from wear and tear as it runs through blocks, fairleads, and other rigging components. Its ability to maintain its round shape prevents kinking and ensures smooth, trouble-free operation, extending the service life of your rigging. This is a line built to endure season after season of rigorous use.

Designed for the Marine Environment

The POLY ROPES Escota is fully optimized for life at sea. It is treated with maximum UV-stabilization to combat the degrading effects of constant sun exposure, preserving its strength and integrity over time. Furthermore, its characteristic of sinking in water is a practical benefit that helps prevent fouling incidents with your propeller or rudder, adding a layer of safety and convenience.
