Rapala Countdown Suspending minnow 5g 50 mm

Rapala CountDown Minnow 5g 50mm - Precision Sinking Lure

Master the water column and unlock the secret to catching fish at any depth with the legendary Rapala CountDown® Suspending Minnow. A timeless classic and a staple in tackle boxes worldwide, this lure is engineered with a single purpose: to give you absolute control over your presentation depth, allowing you to place your bait exactly where the fish are holding.

Consistently reach suspended fish at any depth with the CountDown®.

Whether the fish are suspending at certain depths, at the weed tops or on bottom structure, the CountDown® can get you to them consistently.

Weighted lure creates slow-rolling Rapala® action.

The genius of the CountDown® lies in its simple yet revolutionary method. Developed through decades of fishing expertise, this lure is meticulously weighted to sink at a controlled, consistent rate every time it enters the water. This allows you to implement the world-renowned "CountDown Method": cast out, and as the lure hits the water, begin counting as it sinks. Once you have determined the depth where fish are feeding—through observation or with the help of electronics—you can return to that exact depth on every single cast by simply stopping your count and beginning your retrieve. This precision targeting is impossible to replicate with most other lures and is a true game-changer for anglers facing finicky or suspended fish.

Upon the retrieve, the CountDown® comes alive with the signature, irresistible action that has made Rapala famous. It produces a slow-rolling, side-to-side wobble that perfectly mimics a struggling or foraging baitfish, sending out vibrations and flash that predatory fish cannot ignore. Even on the pause or during the initial drop, the lure flutters and shimmers enticingly, often triggering aggressive strikes from fish that are following but have yet to commit. Each lure is hand-tuned and tank-tested before it leaves the factory, ensuring it delivers that perfect, fish-catching action right out of the package, every single time.

Ideal for targeting a vast range of species including trout, perch, chub, bass, and pike, the 50mm size is a perfect imitation of the small baitfish that make up the primary diet of many predators. Its versatility shines in streams, rivers, ponds, and large lakes, making it a reliable performer in virtually any freshwater environment.
