We recommend the TECTIC 496 Frame Lock for securing low-range bikes. The bike lock offers good protection against low risk of theft and is classified as a security level 6 lock. To keep your bike even more secure against theft, we recommend the use of a second lock in the form of an ABUS U-lock or chain lock.

As soon as it arrived I placed it on the Frame adjusted the height and tightened the torc screws. Tried the Key in the lock pushed the large button down and it locked in place, turned the Key, I suggest to hold the button because it springs open quickly but smoothly. Excellent for those quick run in shop for a cold drink or snack. For longer periods Grocery shopping and such, I use brake locks front and back, U-Lock and cable for Frame plus the Abus Frame Lock. Testing alarms also. But if you want to keep your bike safe as much as possible, You have to have a security plan for every kind of stop.

Does the purchase come with mount adapter or i have to buy separately?

The frame lock does not come with adapter pieces. The adapters simply tighten to frame with a grub screw. Very happy with this product. I really comes in handy.

There is no fixing in the package but it is enough to use plastic serflex collars to hold the lock on the rear frame.

Nope !! It is necessary to supplement by the purchase of two flanges being fixed on the uprights of the rear fork, this if your bike is not equipped with the two nuts welded to this fork....good luck and good rides!!!
