BBB LockOut Tool

BBB LockOut BTL-12S: The Professional Cassette & Center Lock Tool

Take full control of your bicycle´s drivetrain maintenance with the BBB LockOut, the essential general tool for professional-grade cassette and disc brake rotor service right in your home workshop. Engineered for precision, stability, and ease of use, the LockOut transforms a potentially challenging task into a simple, straightforward process, ensuring your bike performs at its peak.

When it´s time to swap, upgrade, or deep clean your cassette, the LockOut is the indispensable second half of the process, designed to work seamlessly with a chain whip like the BBB TurnTable or T-RexGrip. While the chain whip holds the sprockets stationary, the LockOut engages the lockring with unmatched precision. You can confidently take your sprocket off or put it back on your bike with the LockOut. It is incredibly easy to use and provides all the grip you need for both removal and installation, applying the necessary torque without any fuss. The LockOut makes sure your sprocket is locked into place securely for safe and reliable performance on every ride.

Ultimate Stability and Precision

What truly sets the LockOut apart from other lockring tools is its integrated guide pin. This critical feature provides superior stability by centering the tool perfectly within the hub´s axle. This prevents the tool from slipping off the lockring splines during high-torque applications, eliminating the risk of damaging your expensive cassette, hub, or the lockring itself. This secure engagement ensures all your force is directed into turning the lockring, not into keeping the tool in place, for a safer and more efficient experience.

Unmatched Versatility for the Modern Cyclist

The BBB LockOut is a highly versatile addition to any toolbox. Its primary function is to remove and install cassette lock-rings on a vast range of Shimano compatible cassettes. Furthermore, its utility extends to your braking system, as it is also perfectly designed for servicing center lock disc brake hub systems. This dual-purpose functionality means you need fewer specialized tools, saving you space and money while equipping you to handle two of the most common maintenance jobs on modern bicycles.

Exceptional Comfort and Control

Leverage and comfort are paramount when working on tightly secured bike components. The LockOut features a long, robust handle that provides ample leverage to break loose even the most stubborn lockrings. This handle is finished with a dual-density Kraton grip, offering a firm, non-slip, and comfortable hold. This ergonomic design reduces hand fatigue and gives you the confidence to apply steady, controlled force for both removal and precise tightening.

Whether you are a seasoned home mechanic or just starting to perform your own bike maintenance, the BBB LockOut tool provides the reliability and user-friendly design needed to get the job done right every time.
