I have a modern steel roadbike and to keep the "hard to break" theme going, as a rule, I have all my finishing kit aluminium. This stem is perfect: precise saddle tilt adjustability. You can also "lock" the tilt angle and adjust the fore and aft without losing your preferred tilt angle. Lightweight for alloy - 248 g. Spare parts available! Good looking with a nice curvature for the setback option. Maybe a small minus is that the paint details - the grey font for example will peel off in time in the seat collar area if you have a low saddle height. This is the case for me, but it happens with all my posts and I learned to live with it.

I´m in love with this seatpost. Great quality, beautiful Italian design, and very good and easy to set saddle adjustment. This is my third Deda seatpost in my life (previous was 31.8 mm on other bikes) and I´d definitely buy it again. Good thing is that you can buy a dedicated Deda battery adapter (Deda DBA) for Shimano Di2 battery and install it in the seatpost.

I do understand that the dead zero 100 seat post is compatible with a 7x9 seat rail but personally would not choose a carbon seat rail. I love the deda 100 seat posts. They are well made and easy to adjust. Shifted away from carbon seat posts back to alloy. In my experience the carbon posts invariably end up with a pinch or crease around clamp points. For the minimal weight advantage I prefer the more robust alloy post and rails.
