ION Shelter 2l softshell pants

For 2024, we’ve updated the main fabric of our two-layer Softshell Shelter outfit, along with a new tapered fit. The inner lining is directly bonded to the outer shell, for greater outdoor comfort and lightness than before. The inner waffle fleece bonding provides lightweight insulation that traps air in little pockets. Together with the external C0 DWR layer, we’ve crafted a new two-layer bonded wind-resistant riding trousers. Ripstop fabric is added strategically to make it more resistant to tearing so you can keep exploring with Shelter for years to come. You’ll find mesh inserts in the large pockets for when extra ventilation is needed. The tapered fit can be widened to cover the shoes via the leg zips and gusset. In celebration, we’ve added a subtle nod to ION’s Enduro heritage: Finale Ligure.


Key Features:

FC free C0 DWR finish:
- Durable water-repellency without harmful chemicals to nature and humans. Unlike conventual treatments, PFC-free DWR needs a little bit more maintenance and has to be refreshed regularly.

- Wind resistant Pertex fabric

Ripstop:
- Ripstop is a reinforced fabric that makes them more resistant to tearing and ripping.

Waffle Fleece Bonding:
- The waffle structure of the fabric allows for the formation of small air pockets that trap warm air and increase insulation. All without making it more bulky
