Super compact, perfect to carry around, comes with a very well made case, quality material, I recommend it 100% for compatible chains, because on the KMC website and everywhere else it says it works for any chain, but in reality it doesn't work for Sram and Shimano 12 speed chains, something that Bikeinn doesn't mention in the description, as it does in other articles, and for which I give it a negative point, since the joke cost me 5 euros for the return of the article. Even so, I recommend it.

Great to keep in frame storage compartment of modern mountain bikes (Specialized, Santa Cruz, Trek, others) or a pack. Takes up very little room and the padded pouch is a nice touch to keep it from rattling around inside the frame storage pouch and/or scuffing up a tube in there with it. It’s intuitive to use. I’ve been using my multi-tool instead of the supplied 5mm hex which cuts down further on weight and space. Important to note this will not work with flat top chains like SRAM Transmission. Great product!

Shimano chain compatibility

Good morning, this chain cutter I read does not work with 12v Shimano chains, would it be with all 12v Shimano chains or only with certain chains? I mean if it would work for shimano xt chains but not for the new xtr ones. Thank you so much

It works with 11v. One user said the Ultegra 12v chain didn´t fit in the hole he had to handle it.

Yes, I bought it to use it with an Ultegra 12-speed chain and I had to return it because the chain did not fit/fit in the hole that it has to manipulate it.
