Great taillight. Because of the very bright 170 lumens, you can be seen very well from behind, even when the sun is low. Although not allowed in Germany, the security gain is more valuable than anything else. Lasts very long. 6.5 hours at 170 lumens in flashing mode. At night you can switch to 35 lumens with steady light. Perfect. Unfortunately expensive. But worth the money.

Does this light meet the German StVZO?

As far as I’m aware for the stVZO regulations this is for oncoming traffic (ie front light, not back). But nonetheless the stVZO states the beam must be constant, non blinking, and this light does both. The fact that it clearly illuminates in a 180 degree shape may make it non confirming to stVZO but you’d probably have to check with the local authorities for 100% accuracy.

It has different modes that include constantly lit, flashes, moving left to right (which I use). Intensity wise only 2 modes full brightness or half.

Hi there. I purchased this lamp a couple of months ago. It indeed has flashing and pulsing settings as well as a constantly lit mode. I must say it’s extremely bright and does show very clearly from the sides. I’ve seen a noticeable change in driver behaviour behind me when it is on. Hope that helps you when considering!
