At first I had a problem with mounting the remote control on the handlebar (gravel), but once I found a spot, it worked brilliantly. High beams are a great option for drivers who see a bike riding high beams themselves and immediately turn them off. Application and pairing the lamp without problems. The EVO1700 is excellent! It can be very bright when needed and the remote control is very handy, especially when the high beam needs to be turned on to alert the cars coming the opposite direction to lower their lights. The Android app is different than the one shown in the manual, and I have yet to see if it is indeed needed. Finally what remains to be seen is how long the battery lasts, and when the battery will start deteriorating. Overall it is an excellent light and I highly recommend it.

The lamp has fantastic lighting capabilities, the power and range are fantastic. Even too strong for the city, but when someone travels outside the city it is irreplaceable. Many options for choosing light and power, great remote control. The application sucks, they should improve it - they had no idea for it and probably do not listen to users, but it is good that it exists at all. You can do without the application because there is a great remote control on the steering wheel. The lamp is not the lightest, but the battery does its job. Great and worth recommending.

You don't really need the original mounting bracket. You can use Garmin (or compatible) quarter-turn mounts on all your bikes and attach the light to them (that's what I'm doing)

Sure you can, but I wouldn't advise it. The light is quite heavy, and depending on how rough the terrain you ride on is, you risk breaking the connecting part if there is a lot of left-right movement. I think there are replacement parts available, and although this part is made of strong plastic, it's still plastic!
