I mounted the small luggage rack on a Schindelhauer Wilhelm. I didn't use the Schindelhauer adapter set, just another Schindelhauer thru-axle through which you can insert a long screw, which is cheaper. I'm very satisfied; it looks good, and it's practical that you can hang the bags on the lower crossbar.

My wheel is 28”. Is it compatible? I see in the description that it is, but when choosing the size it only says 26”. Is it attached to the wheel axle or the fork?

My bike is the Triban Gravel 120 (Decathlon) with 28" wheels, and I was able to attach the front luggage rack.

It fits both 26 and 28 wheels. There are three positions for the ends of the rack, that sit on the axles that change the height. Just be sure that your fork crown has a hole drilled and rack eyelets at the blades.
