Progress Sonic Disc road wheel set

Progress now offer the latest revolution - a wide U-shape rim design using ultra-strong lightweight DYNAMAL aluminium. The SONIC DISC exceeds the aero performance and weight of many carbon wheels on the market giving you the flexibility of choice! 21mm tyre bed is the perfect size for modern tires from 25 to 32mm enhances aerodynamic, grip and increases rider comfort. On these wheels you can also find our NITRO Ceramic Disc Center Lock Hubs straight pull with high precision low friction NITRO CERAMIC bearings which we’ve been testing over the last 2 years with excellent results and riders feedback.

Features:

- PROGRESS cassette body option SRAM XD-R compatible made of CNC aluminum. Reinforced with 3 bearings to resist high loads.
- Rear hub with a very strong three pawl ratchet mechanism. Engagement with 3 oversize pawls and steel ratchet with 24 teeth’s.
- A hub with Parallel Drilling technology ensures high precision 100% aligned bearing seats. PROGRESS hubs and bearings are designed for light weight, long lasting and best running performance.
- SAPIM CX aero spoke is the choice of champions and many teams at the Pro-Tour. Made in Belgium with an aerodynamic advantage and unbelievably high fatigue test results. We build them into our lighter wheels to achieve durable and long lasting wheels which don’t need to be re-trued. Each Progress Wheel, hub and rim is designed with perfect spoke angle to release extra stress.
- PROGRESS cassettes bodies can be easily removed and replaced with no extra adjustments. Switch quickly between Shimano, Campagnolo, or SRAM cassettes.
- New Oversize hub body CNC made of AL7075 super lightweight. 3 cross straight pull for a 20% stiffer wheel and better aerodynamic performance. Super precis Japanese cartridge bearings with very low friction and bigger size for long lasting. 15mm CNC made Aluminium rear axle and free hub. Classical engagement with 3 oversize pawls and steel ratchet. New SRAM XD free hub with 3 bearings and Shimano with 2 bigger bearings, free hub Shimano and SRAM interchangeable without any modifications or adjustment. Road Nitro rear with 2:1 spoke lacing.
- Crashed wheels! In case of bad luck, PROGRESS supports you by offering replacement rims for half the regular price during 1 year after purchase.
- TLR Tubeless Ready We’re using most common rim bed design. Its advantage are excellent rolling resistance, fewer punctures and easy mounting tire.
- High precision CERAMIC bearings with maximum precision and low friction that increase durability.
- Extremely durable hand built wheel. High durability and high precision.

Technology:

PAL-TECH:
- High precision aligned bearing seats with parallel drilling technology made by high-tech CNC 5-axis machine.
- 100% parallel to the axis of the spindle.
- Less friction more speed and longer bearing life.

PSG (Perfect Spoke geometry):
- Every Progress Wheel is designed for his specific operation purpose. Our choice of rim, hubs, spokes and lacing pattern isn’t just a coincidence.
- We strengthen rims at every spoke hole on each rim we develop. The spoke hole and nipple seat is perfectly aligned with hub and spoke angle.
- This creates a perfect spoke geometry which allows us to use high spoke tension by an evenly and equal tension distribution. Releasing excessive stress from spokes we get long-lasting and high performance on every wheel.
