Got this as part of my GRX drive train upgrade on my gravel bike. I have the GRX double crankset and this is must as the crank has a 2.5mm offset for clearance. It is only a braze-on so I needed to also get a braze-on clamp ring for this FD. It does not come with one. It came in all original Shimano GRX packaging.

SHIMANO front derailleur change

I have a LOOK 765 road bike. I have just installed - a SHIMANO GRX 46/30 crankset - a 2X11S RD-RX810 GRX 34 D MAX rear derailleur I kept my SHIMANO 105 front derailleur and my SHIMANO 11/34 cassette When I am in a large chainring and on the 11 and 13 sprockets, the chain touches the derailleur fork, and this after a precise adjustment of the tension cable. (Apparently the front derailleur mounting bracket does not allow to lower even further, the derailleur in the low position, to solve the problem My question is whether the GRX front derailleur would correct this problem. Finally I read that I cannot use a clamp as a replacement for a braze-on bracket, on a carbon tube What do you advise me? Thank you in advance.

If I remember correctly, 105 and GRX have a different offset, so a GRX crankset with a GRX derailleur and vice versa. However, Shimano´s compatibility is a precautionary measure, and often you can go further. Finding qualified mechanics willing to do what you ask is practically impossible. Those who do it themselves do it three times, even if sometimes you risk buying the wrong component.
