Hello! First of all, you should choose a chain for the number of sprockets that your bicycle has, since its width and its correct functioning will depend on this. Once you have the chain, placing the chain on the large plate and large sprocket without going through the gear pulleys. You tighten it and join it. If it is a single plate you cut it there, if there are 2 or 3 plates, you add one more link. In general you will have plenty of links.
