- Like the DEORE XT, the new SLX M7100 also features Shimano innovations such as the innovative 12v cassette with MICRO SPLINE system with 10-45 or 10-51 developments, connecting rods 1x12 or 2x12, a 12v chain specific to the SLX, 2 or 4 piston disc brakes, fully adjustable ISPEC-EV controls, bushings, derailleur and rear derailleur optimized for 12v, bringing premium technologies closer to those who discover authentic cycling of Mountain.

- Changes: With monoplate versions (RD-M7100-SGS) and double plate (RD-M7120-SGS), the SLX rear derailleur allows precise and rapid changes in the 12 speeds. The two changes feature SHIMANO SHADOW RD + technology, damping stops and 13T pulley wheel that make it easier to enjoy quieter outings. Rear gear weight: RD-M7100-SGS: 316 g, RD-M7120-SGS: 322 g.

- The front derailleur arrives with a specification valid for 48.8 mm and 51.8 mm chain lines, but is available for Type D, Type E and Type M assemblies. Derailleur weight: FD-M7100-D: 135 g , FD-M7100-E: 16 6g, FD-M7100-M: 114 g.
