I bought a new gravel bike with Rival XPLR groupset but without a power meter. For training data I required a meter. Power cranks and power pedals can be quite expensive but the rival spindle based power meter was less than half the cost of other solutions, and super easy to install. It immediately connected to the sram app and garmin computer and now I get all the data I need. It’s too soon to comment on accuracy but so far it seems ok and I’m very happy.

If "pedal counter" refers to a measurement of cadence (revolutions per minute), then yes. If the question is where the measurement takes place: only at the crank, on one side only.

Hi, the text says the color is silver - but in the picture the crank arm is black. Is it silver or black?

The crank is black, as shown, with only silver elements for the lettering. It looks exactly like the left crank without the power meter.
