- SRAM chain engineers developed PowerLock® as a tool free, sure, and consistent way to connect our chains. While PowerLock® does not require special tools for install, the especially tight tolerances of 10-, 11- and 12-speed drivetrains mandate that each PowerLock® is good for a one-time application only.

X-SYNC?:
- SRAM X-SYNC? 1x chain rings provide the highest level of performance and durability. The SRAM X-SYNC? tall square teeth edges engage the chain earlier than traditional triangle shaped teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile, as well as rounded chamfer edges, help manage a deflected chain. To provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions, the X-SYNC? chain rings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers. I've been using the X01 instead of the SX that came standard on my ebike (Paired with a PG-1230) for a couple of years now. I've been getting 4000-5000 miles between changes without any problems. Pay a little bit more and get great results, don't even think about the SX, NX or GX, just go straight for this, it's the best combination of price and durability.

I use these chains on a 90Nm e-bike as well as a manual bike, and can get more distance out of them before being too worn than any other brand/model i have tried. The O.E. e-bike cassette was replaced at 10,000km after rotating four XO1 chains, and replacing the O.E. GX chain at 600km - so average 2300km from each XO1 chain
