Hello. I have a SRAM red 10-speed road bike, Sunrace 50/34 double chainrings and a Shimano 12/28 cassette, short (or medium) cage. I would simply like to change to an 11/32 cassette but my bike shop told me that 28 teeth would be the maximum. Would this part allow me to install an 11/32 cassette? Thank you

Hello, On the advice of a bike-riding friend, with this part, I was able to switch from a 9-speed 12-13 cassette to a 12-27 cassette, and it works perfectly. So I think this will solve your problem.

Hello, it should definitely work with this extension. I´m now using a Sunrace 11/42 cassette on my trekking bike instead of the 11/32, and it´s working great. You might want to adjust the chain length. I hope this has helped. Best regards.

Does the derailleur hanger extension work with all types of derailleur? I have a road Ultegra, medium cage, or long cage, I don´t know exactly, and a 9-speed cassette. My goal is to be able to go up to 40 teeth at least with this extension, more if possible. Thanks for the feedback, Regards

I mounted the extender on a 29 MTB, Deore 9-speed gearbox so as to use the 40 sprocket (without it I could have put the maximum 36). I did several km, many of them uphill, without problems. Compatible with: Shimano SLX RD-M7000-10-SGS / 11-46 Cassette (10 Speed) Shimano DEORE RD-M6000-SGS / 11-46 Cassette (10 Speed). Compatible with: Shimano DEORE RD-M615-SGS / 11-42 / 11-46. Cassette (10 Speed) Shimano ACERA RD-M390-SGS / 11-40 Cassette (9 Speed). Compatible with: Shimano TY RD-TX800 Cassette / 11-40 (8V) SRAM GX 2015 (Type 2.1) LD Cassette / 11-46 (10V). Compatible with: SRAM X9 2015 (Type 2.1) MD Cassette / 11-46 (10V) SRAM X5 / 11-42 and 11-46 cassettes (10V).

Well, it´s not that performance improves, if the pin is right it gives you more play to fit more sprocket, with this pin I went from 11.40 to 11.51

But what development do you have? I installed it to increase the development to a Shimano Ultegra road derailleur with a short cage with development up to 28 teeth to install a 36-tooth cassette and it has been perfect for me.
